An Event has happened to Eeyore (from The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne). An Event that would have Greatly Shaken him, had he been the kind of animal to be Greatly Shaken. As it is, he was Mildly Wobbled, and he wobbled mildly over to Christopher Robin’s house to tell him about it.

They ummed and ahhed and ahhed and ummed. They even scrum-diddly-umm-dummed a bit, too, to lift Eeyore’s spirits.

Finally, they decided that Eeyore would write to Ebenezer Scrooge (from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens). It seemed only fair to give him – well, you’ll see.
